The Menin Gate 2002

On a bright sunny morning (in stark contrast to the day before) hundreds came to the Menin Gate in Ieper to pay their respects to the dead.

Considering it is a British Monument I was gratified that both the morning's ceremony and the evening's Last Post were attended by so many French and Belgians.
