The rain just about stayed away during the earlier service at Buttes New British Cemetery but by the time we were gathering at the Park in Messines it was definitely damp.

The good news for those of us in Belgium was that the commemoration at Villers-Bretonneux had seen heavy rainfall, soaking all those in attendance.
