What a difference a year makes. In 2012 we were drowned; 2013 turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year and this year it was a good mixture of the two with it being somewhat draughty at the memorial but the rain staying away until after the mornings ceremonies.
Major General David Chalmers AO CSC acted as Master of Ceremonies and the welcoming address was given by the Australian Ambassador to France : HE Mr Ric Wells.
The Call to Remembrance was given by Lieutenant General Ash Power AO CSC, Chief of Joint Operations, Australian Defence Forces. The reply on behalf of the French Government was given by M. Jean-François Cordet, Préfet de la région Picardie.
