Anzac Day 2014
This year’s clouds and threats of rain were almost a relief after last year’s sweltering heat and a ceremony cut short by the number of participants suffering from the temperature.
Bullecourt has a new Maire following the retirement of M Jules Laude; Mme Gladys Dickson welcomed the gathering before handing the mike to the Honourable Julie Bishop MP, the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs who gave the Commemorative Address.
As always, following the laying of wreaths at both the British-Australian Slouch Hat Monument and then the Village War Memorial, the parade set out for the Digger Memorial on the battlefield.
